Amari is about a girl who's been targeted for her whole life. And then her brother disappears and he has been helping her out for a long time. She is convinced that he is not dead but everybody else thinks he's gone. Then a mysterious delivery comes to her house telling her that Quinton (her brother) sent it. An adventure involving many magical encounters follows!

If you like books like Harry Potter or Percy Jackson you will probably like Amari. If magic isn't really your style you may not like Amari so much. Amari isn't that scary at all so pretty much anybody can read it. The first book is a fun introduction to an awesome series that follows.

I´m not one to actually read and finish a book but Concrete Rose by Angie Thomas was different for me. From the first few pages, it grabbed my attention in a way most books don't. I found myself wanting to know what happens next. Before I realized it, I was fully pulled into Maverick Carter's world. The story felt real and it was written in ways that made it easy to understand.

The book follows Maverick, a seventeen year old growing up in garden heights...(continue)

In my opinion attack on titan issue 1 is an interesting book because of its action, art style, and how the characters interact with each other. I liked this book because it doesn't only focus on the action, i liked the characters reactions to the titans attacking their home, i also like how the characters develop over time because of the titans attacking their home. The mood became more serious after that attack from the titans and it shows how the characters wont really be the same after that incident. This also sets the tone for the rest of the series...(continued)

Girl, Interrupted is a novel that went in a completely opposite direction from what I expected while simultaneously leaving me with a new perspective on subjects I never touched upon prior. What I came into expecting a dramatic, distressed retelling of the author’s experience in a psych ward–mostly due to clips of its movie adaptation I've come across–ended up being a strikingly calm, composed novel that accurately portrays the reality of mental illness and institutionalization without turning it into a sensationalized thriller for the sake of entertainment...(continued)

Would you like to know how it feels to be a teen mom in high school in the city of Philadelphia. Well “With the fire on high” is the perfect book to read.
It talks about Emoni struggles with having a child in her teenage years and not knowing if college would be a good fit due to having a child and wanting to be a cook and to show her Puerto rican heritage.
It’s just something about “with the fire on high” just speaks to me. Maybe it’s just because I am a teen in high school that lives in the city of Philadelphia...(continued)

“Trell: Nothing But the Truth” was the first book I ever read once I started Ms. O’Briens class. It’s based on a true story, inspired by the real life murder of Tifanny Moore in 1988. It’s a good book that slowly builds its plot as the story progresses. It’s a kind of story that has adventure and mystery to it. I personally liked the book due to the genre of it plus the plot. I finished this book in about 2-3 weeks. It’s a kind of book that has you wanting to read it more in order to figure out what’s going to happen next. It gives you a rush of anticipation that makes you want to finish it. The story itself builds up and it all fits well together...(continued)
