Books

What kinds of books are we looking for?

We have a VERY small school building. Because of that, we are specifically looking for books that teens would want to read. Our most requested genres are horror, manga, and romance however we do want a diverse collection. Generally, we accept new and gently used books.

Are there specific books we want?

Students can request specific books which are added to the wishlist linked below.

Are there any books we don't want?

We don't want many repeat books because our physical space is so small. You can view our catalog at the button above. Our purpose is also to have a teen-centered library so books that appeal to teenagers are our priority.

Materials

What kinds of materials are we looking for?

We are looking for the materials at the button below. We honestly did not expect our library to grow as it has beyond books to creating a space that is safe for students to hang out after school. But, we are trying to build it up as a lounge and study area. So, we are looking for games and relaxing activities for students. Housed in our library is also Teacher Tool Library. We recognized that sometimes teachers wanted to do special projects with kids and they did not want to purchase sometimes expensive materials for just a few uses. To fill that need, we purchased a color printer, laminator, hot glue gun, toolbox, and hole punch to allow our teachers to use for classroom activities.
